How to Play – Two Engaging Ways

🔹 Version 1: Quick Match Game (Ideal for 2 Players)

This version works like UNO with a Ramayana twist – perfect for younger kids or first-time players!

Setup:

  • Shuffle all 64 cards and deal 9 cards to each player.
  • Place the remaining cards in a draw pile. Flip one card to start the discard pile.
  • The top card determines the starting color.

Gameplay:

  • Players take turns placing a card that matches either the color or the story theme of the top card in the discard pile.
  • If a player cannot play, they must draw a card from the pile.
  • Special cards like skip, reverse, draw two, etc., can be added in advanced versions to make it more exciting.
  • First player to place all their cards wins!

Victory Call:

  • The winner must shout "Jai Sri Ram!" upon playing their final card – or they must draw 2 extra as a penalty!

💡 Tip: This version is fast-paced and fun for young kids or quick cultural play.

🔹 Version 2: Ramayana Story Master Challenge (Ideal for 3–4 Players)

This version transforms the game into an engaging storytelling activity with memory building and leadership!

Setup:

  • Separate the 4 Special Cards – red, yellow, green, and blue – and place them face-down.
  • Each of the 4 players draws one Special Card randomly.
  • The player who gets red becomes the "Story Master".

Game Structure:

  • The red deck is arranged in the correct Ramayana sequence (1 to 14). This becomes the reference.
  • The Master has 3–5 minutes to explain the sequence of stories (with help from a parent if needed).
  • The other players take their yellow, green, or blue color decks, which are shuffled randomly and kept face-down until the Master finishes.

Goal:

  • After the Master explains the sequence, a timer starts, and players race to arrange their shuffled decks in the correct story order.
  • First one to get the correct sequence wins the round!

✅ This version builds listening skills, memory, narration, and logical ordering
Best played with parental guidance for added storytelling fun
